Large, long blondel Mallow-blue-eggplant (LP) picture frame-mirror

A large, oblong old Blondel picture frame has been given new life and function. It now lives on as a mirror. I used a new brand of paint and therefore a new colour to paint the frame. I used a smoky mauve as the base, then also painted it with a new midnight blue colour, which I wiped back so that the blue colour shows through the recesses. I highlighted the embellishments with aubergine and gold. I finished off with silk gloss water based parquet shapes. A great vintage piece with a nice unique colour scheme was created.
