This unique vintage mirror is made using a retro picture frame and can be a unique and stylish addition to any interior. The frame is based on the beautiful lagoon colour of HH chalk paint, which exudes freshness and lightness. I added a caribou turquoise shade to this laguna base colour, which I gently back-washed to bring back the beautiful turquoise colour from the recesses. This technique emphasises the details of the frame and gives the mirror a special texture and patina effect.
To further accentuate the decorative elements, I used dark brown antiquing on the mirror frame to add depth and character to the shapes. The gold highlights add elegance and luxury, creating a sophisticated look for the mirror. The details of the frame use this technique to create a historical, antique effect while maintaining a modern vintage style.
The final coat of the mirror is a silk gloss parquet varnish, which not only protects the surface but also gives it a beautiful shine that harmonises perfectly with the gold highlights. This mirror is an excellent choice for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship and beauty in detail.
