The picture frame has been primed with a green PNT chalk paint shade that evokes the closeness of nature and the freshness of vintage style. On top of this base, a fine layer of ecru was applied, which was then rubbed back by hand to bring out the ecru tones in the recesses. This technique brings out the detail of the frame's ornamentation and adds depth to the overall surface, while creating a pleasingly soft overall effect.
The trim and edges are coloured dark brown, which contrasts elegantly with the green and ecru shades.
