This small, delicately decorated vintage mirror is made from a special blondel frame that has all the charm of antique beauty. The frame is based on the Tired Green shade of HH chalk paint, which gives it a soft, elegant tone, providing the perfect base for the antique effect. I even applied a layer of white paint to the Tired Green frame, which I wiped back, leaving the white colour discreetly in the recesses, highlighting the details of the decorations and creating a unique patina. This technique not only adds a unique texture to the frame, but also maintains its timeless antique character.
The trims and edges have been further refined with dark brown and gold highlights, which further enhance the vintage effect. The dark brown tone adds depth to the frame, while the gold detailing provides an elegant glow that subtly reflects light and creates a unique focal point. The combination of gold and dark brown harmonises perfectly with the Tired Green and White base, making the mirror a true work of art.
The mirror is finished with a silk gloss parquet finish, which not only protects the paintwork but also gives the frame a slight, soft sheen, further enhancing its elegance. The subtle sheen of the parquet varnish makes the frame timeless and hard-wearing.
I recommend this lovely mirror to anyone who loves romantic, vintage style and wants to add a nice unique piece to their home.
