This retro small cabinet has been revived and transformed into a more modern, vintage-style piece of home decor that can become a decorative feature in any home with its quirkiness and uniqueness. I have taken great care in the details of the entire cabinet makeover to give the original furniture a fresh and stylish new look.
I started the process by thoroughly sanding and repairing the cabinet surface to make it perfectly smooth and flawless. I then started painting, using special techniques. A portrait of a lady with a feather and flower headdress from the 1920s-30s was applied to the doors using a picture transfer technique. This technique allows the image to appear lifelike and detailed on the furniture as if it had always been part of it.
The background was blended using a pittorico technique to achieve a homogeneous and aesthetic effect, completed by the addition of a few patterns. A feathered stencil pattern has been added to the top of the cabinet, adding to the elegance and uniqueness of the furniture. The edges of the cabinet are highlighted here and there with gold, adding a touch of luxury and shine to the look of the furniture.
The interior has also been painted to harmonise with the exterior. I finished the piece with a silk gloss parquet finish, which not only gives it a beautiful shine, but also provides long-lasting protection, so it will retain its beauty for many years to come.
This unique, handmade and recycled furniture is the ideal choice for those who appreciate unique and creative solutions for their home. Each piece is unique, so you can be sure to have a real standout piece in your home. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves unique and creative home furnishings.
