This beautiful, refurbished small wardrobe is brought to life in a unique vintage style, perfectly combining classic and exotic elements. The old piece of furniture underwent extensive preparation before being given its final, unique look. The entire surface of the cabinet has been carefully sanded and prepared to ensure that the paint and decoration adhere perfectly and are timeless.
On the front of the door is a really special pattern: a picture of a blue parrot, reminiscent of the tropics. The pattern was applied using an image transfer technique, which allowed the details to appear sharp and perfect on the surface. The parrot motif gives life and exoticism to the furniture, as if it were a tropical oasis in the middle of the home. The background of the door pattern is delicately washed using the pittorico technique, so that the background harmonises perfectly with the parrot pattern. I used the pittorico technique to further enrich the pattern, adding subtle details that enhance the visual effect.
The rest of the wardrobe is painted in HH chalk paint in Cactus Green, which gives the furniture a pleasant, natural colour. The green colour exudes freshness, but also elegance and calmness, which perfectly suits the vintage feel of the cabinet. Cactus Green subtly highlights the tropical colour scheme of the parrots, while balancing the overall look of the furniture.
The top of the cabinet is decorated with a bird feather pattern made with stencils. The soft lines of the bird feathers give the furniture a lightness and elegance, perfectly complementing the tropical parrot design. The stencil technique provided a precise and detailed result that blends subtly into the natural green background of the cabinet.
The edges of the wardrobe are highlighted with gold to give a subtle elegance and sense of luxury. The gold highlights shimmer discreetly in the light and add a special elegance to the furniture without making it too ostentatious. The gold trim perfectly matches the vintage character of the cabinet and creates a harmonious harmony between the natural green and the tropical patterns.
At the end of the painting and decorating process, I sealed the entire cabinet with a silk gloss parquet finish, which not only provides durable protection for the painted surfaces, but also gives the cabinet a subtle, elegant shine. The silky sheen of the lacquer further enhances the special look of the cabinet and subtly reflects the light, making the furniture even more striking.
