This unique mirror made using an old blondel picture frame is a unique and elegant piece for any home. The mirror is based on HH chalk paint in Cactus Green, which I painted with a lighter green antiquing paste and back-painted, creating a beautiful antique effect. I highlighted the decorations with gold, and finally sealed it with silk gloss parquetry shapes for a durable finish.
Combining the charm of the old Blondel picture frame with modern painting techniques has resulted in a truly unique and special vintage mirror that will fit perfectly into any style of home. The mirror is not only a practical tool but also a decorative element that attracts the eye and creates a special atmosphere in the space.
The Cactus green shade of the chalk paint exudes freshness and naturalness, while the lighter green antique paste and gold highlights give the mirror an elegant, vintage look. This unique combination allows the mirror to fit perfectly into both classic and modern interiors.
Silk gloss parquet varnish protects the surface of the mirror and gives it a subtle sheen that brings out the detail and depth of colour. The mirror is an ideal choice for the living room, bedroom or even the hallway, where it instantly catches the eye and adds style to the space.
