This beautiful mirror with a romantic flair is created using an elongated blondel antique picture frame, bringing back the elegance of the old days in a modern setting. The frame is painted in HH Chalk Paint Bodza White, which gives the mirror a subtle, clean look. I used antiquing turquoise paste to highlight the recesses, which I then rubbed back to allow the turquoise colour to gently peek back through the layers of the frame, adding to the antique, patina effect.
I have highlighted the decorations with gold to make the details really shine, while maintaining the sophisticated, romantic style of the frame. The subtle use of gold is elegant yet understated, which blends perfectly with the harmony of turquoise and white. The result is a beautiful, vintage-looking mirror that can be the centrepiece of any interior.
For the final finish of the mirror, I used a silk gloss parquet varnish, which not only protects the paintwork and decorations, but also gives the surface a beautiful shine, highlighting its elegance. The lacquer not only adds aesthetic value to the mirror, but is also practical and durable, as the surface is easy to clean and resistant.
This fantastic mirror can be the jewel of any home, whether it's a living room, bedroom or hallway. The romantic style of the mirror not only adds functionality to the room, but also stands out as a unique decorative element, adding a touch of vintage elegance to the environment.
