This unique lion-legged belly dresser has a new chippendale, vintage style, where the past meets modern techniques. While retaining the original elegance of the dresser, we have breathed new life into it to make it the jewel of your home. A portrait of Miss Mathild Townsend was placed on the top of the furniture using a picture transfer technique, which I subtly fused with the background using a pittorico method. This technique gives the dresser a special artistic effect and a unique, painting-like look.
The base of the sideboard is covered with HH chalk paint in Tuscan Olive, which gives the furniture a calming and natural tone. The drawers have been decorated with different stencil patterns that harmonise beautifully with the combination of cherry, pumpkin and gold colours. These colours add a special depth and warmth to the dresser, while the gold highlights give the edges an elegant shine.
I not only focused on the exterior of the furniture, but also completely renovated the interior. The inside of the cabinet was also painted and varnished, giving it a new lease of life inside and out. I finished the finishing touches with several coats of silk gloss water-based parquet flooring, which not only protects the furniture but also gives it a subtle sheen.
This sideboard is the perfect choice for those who appreciate unique craftsmanship and vintage style furniture. The combination of fine details and special techniques has resulted in a truly unique piece that will become a worthy centrepiece of any interior. If you are looking for a unique and unique piece of furniture that is both timeless and modern, this sideboard will certainly not disappoint.
